© 1972 Hartman's Log Cabin Resort

Situated on South Twin Lake, the Log Cabin Resort Offers a variety of accommodations to make your stay convenient and comfortable.

“Owned by Bob and Lorna Canody, the resort was purchased by Lorna’s parents, Moose and Bernice Hartman, in 1972 and ran it for 20 years before Lorna and Bob purchased it in 1992….   ‘We were from Texas originally, and when my Dad was thinking about moving up here, he fished at a different spot every day for two weeks.  He fell in love with this area and the people."

"We have a lot of people who come up for water sports as well, and hiking and bicycling.’ Lorna says.  ‘You don’t have to be a fisherperson to enjoy it here.  I feel particularly blessed that we get to live here.’  The resort runs from May to October and is closed for the winter.  Another draw to the lakes is the abundant wildlife, including moose, bear, otters, beaver, eagles and a rare pair of nesting loons which draws the attention of bird watchers from around the state."  ---Sophia Aldous from The Statesman Examiner

OUR STORY

The Resort

We had a wonderful Independence Day Parade and Ice Cream Social! Later in the day, everyone went to Round Lake for Fireworks! Perfect day!

A nice evening troll resulted in this beautiful 5.10 pound Rainbow Trout! John Myers of Grandview Wa. Caught it trolling a black and gold large hinged Rapella at the Deer Lick in about 15-20 feet of water!
